Yes, I've been away for a while. I didn't post while I was in Greece (pictures finally posted), nor the week after, due to a very pressured week at work. I have a new post responding to a Mishpacha editorial coming up soon, and I hope to resume technical posts this week. I was going to post about the funeral of a friend's mother in Sderot, but Jameel had a much better post than anything I could've ever written.
My company is sending me to Greece for three days for a development conference tomorrow. There'll be a little touring and whatnot also; I'll try and post pictures here.
Maybe I'll also have some time to finish up some serious posts (hopefully...)
Yesterday, we went to the Kite Festival in Pnei Kedem. Overlooking (in the distance) the Dead Sea, Pnei Kedem is a small (about 20 families, IIRC) yishuv adjacent to Metzad, in Gush Etzion (our "friends" at Piece Now have a beautiful picture of Pnei Kedem... who said they don't do any good?). Every year (for the past few years, at least), they have a Kite Festival on Chol Hamoed Sukkos. On the summit of a large hill (mountain?) in the Judean Hills, they have the perfect climate for kite flying

There's a posting! More important, I found out today (Sunday) that I'm going to England tomorrow for two days. Woohoo... I think. Actually, I'd rather be with my family, but I also need my job ~sigh~
We have plane tickets. $702 for CT and PB, including all taxes. Not too shabby, eh?
